2000 Flatiron Festival F-5
2000 Flatiron Festival F-5
Bluegrass Beast!

Exceptionally strong Flatiron, built by Gibson during the Charlie Derrington/Sim Daley era. It features a powerful mid-rangy sound and good appointments.

Specs: Sitka spruce top in iced tea sunburst gloss lacquer finish, Curly Maple back/sides/neck, Ivoroid bound top, flat Ebony fretboard, adjustable Ebony bridge, tone bar bracing, Schaller tuning machines, traditional engraved tailpiece, and Fleur-de-lis headstock inlay.

Tone is warm, woody and dry. Nicely balanced with excellent volume and a solid, percussive chop. This is one of the good ones, perhaps the best sounding Festival we've had.

Excellent condition relative to age. Does have some play wear, showing pick marks and scratches below the fretboard and some light marks and a few dings on the top. Back is clean. Headstock shows some string scratches and clip-on tuner marks. Frets are in fine shape.

Includes shaped Canadian hard shell case. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made instrument.
