Our third mandolin from Colorado builder Robb Brophy, this delightful jewel features the finest appointments including; European Spruce black faced top, Eastern Hard Maple back/sides/neck in a hand rubbed Spirit Varnish finish with French Polish top coat and triple bound throughout.

Other goodies include a radiused Ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl position dots, Ebony pickguard and bridge, hand engraved James tailpiece, silver Waverly tuning gears with pearl buttons and a modified Abalone flowerpot headstock inlay.

This instrument provides a rich, articulate tone with mid-range emphasis and brilliant highs. Outstanding chop. Overall a fine sounding mandolin with an excellent set up and exceptional fit and finish.

This mandolin, Elkhorn #29, is offered in new condition and includes lifetime of the builder warranty and a Superior hard shell case with "vintage green" interior. Trade discussions are welcome.
